How to apply Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality technologies in Vocational Training Centers?
The Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR), included under the term of Extended Reality, promote digitization and innovation in Vocational Training Centersoffering a more complete and immersive training and enhancing the skills and abilities that students acquire.
More and more centers are committed to incorporating new immersive and experiential learning methodologiesthrough which students can live in the first person and in a more interactive way what they are learning.
The training cycles have to base certain activities, which are more practical, on theory, either because of the complexity or danger involved or because of the limited availability of resources.. In the final practices of the work centers they could practice it, but it is very useful if they also do it throughout the learning in the FP center.
Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality allow to recreate real risk situations in virtual environments and completely safe for the student. The new learning environments can be adapted to multiple fields such as electricity and electronics, health, chemistry, installation and maintenance, mechanical manufacturing, personal image, among others. And, it is very useful and beneficial in all the sectors mentioned.
